"Italian Penicillin"

It’s that time of year when I feel like I’m always getting sick, so it’s time to make Pastina aka Italian Penicillin!

A bowl of pastina with a spoon

Ingredients

  • 1 cup pastina or acini de pepe

  • 3 cups chicken broth

  • 2 T butter

  • Freshly grated parm

  • Black pepper

Instructions

  1. Bring your chicken broth and 1 T of butter to a boil. Add in your pasta and stir. Cook for about 10 minutes, or according to package instructions.

  2. Turn heat off and add in your butter and parm (I used about 1/2 cup). Stir until melted.

  3. Top with more fresh parm, black pepper, and a drizzle of Olive Oil. Enjoy!

I made this and personally did not like the parm cheese taste but maybe I can just omit the cheese
